Hygiene Standards Vending Machines

Hygiene Standards Vending Machines and the article of law by Order of May 9, 1995 regulating the hygiene of food delivered directly to the consumer says, and I quote: “Vending machines are designed, built, installed, cleaned, maintained and used in such a way as to avoid contamination of foodstuffs, including through the presence of insects and other animals.
Parts of dispensers intended to come into contact with food must be well maintained, easy to clean and sanitize. They must be kept in a permanent state of cleanliness.
Without prejudice to the provisions of the decree of July 8, 1992 referred to above, they must be designed in smooth and washable materials.
Foodstuffs must be renewed in good time so as to remain constantly healthy and in good condition.
In particular, the temperature conditions mentioned in article 10 above must be respected and can be checked at any time.
Vending machines are equipped, as necessary, with a device allowing the dispensing of individual cups under hygienic conditions.
A facility should be provided for the regular collection and disposal of cups and other waste.
In order to allow in particular the verification of the maintenance conditions of the vending machines by the agents of the administrations in charge of the controls, the name of the person responsible as well as his address and his telephone number are affixed so as to be readable from the exterior of the device.”
